Great Northern Beans and Smoked Sausage


Ingredients

1 pound dried Great Northern beans

1 pack of Hillshire (or brand of your choice) skinless smoked sausage

1 large Vidalia onion

salt and pepper

Directions

Separate out any broken beans.

(optional) Soak in cold water overnight.

Slice smoked sausage.

Cut onion in half.

Place all ingredients in crockpot, and fill half full with water. 

Cook on high for 2 hours and then on low for 2 hours or until beans are soft. 

Serve and enjoy.

Reese’s Cup Eclair - Michelle Wiles


Reese’s Cup Éclair

Ingredients
8 ounces Cool Whip
1 small Vanilla Instant Pudding
2 cups of milk
2 Tablespoons of sour cream
2 Tablespoons of peanut butter
½ box of chocolate graham crackers
5 Reese’s cups

Directions
In a large bowl, mix the milk, pudding, peanut butter, and sour cream.
Fold in cool whip.
In a 8 x 8 dish, place a layer of graham crackers on bottom, then add some pudding mixture.
Continue to layer crackers and pudding, ending with pudding.
Top with chopped Reese’s cups and chocolate syrup.
Refrigerate two hours before serving.

Chicken and Rice Perlo - Michelle Wiles



Ingredients

7 BONELESS/SKINLESS CHICKEN BREASTS

2 CUPS MINUTE RICE

LARGE CARTON OF CHICKEN BROTH

1 STICK OF BUTTER

SALT/PEPPER

½ TEASPOON GARLIC POWDER

½ TEASPOON ONION POWDER

16 OUNCES SOUR CREAM

1 CAN CREAM OF CHICKEN SOUP

Directions 

BOIL CHICKEN IN WATER, BUTTER, SALT/PEPPER, GARLIC, AND ONION POWDER UNTIL TENDER.

REMOVE CHICKEN FROM BROTH, SHRED, AND RETURN TO BROTH.

ADD REMAINING INGREDIENTS AND SIMMER ON LOW UNTIL RICE IS TENDER.

Bacon-Wrapped Pork Chops - Michelle Wiles


Bacon-Wrapped Pork Chops

Ingredients
6 one-inch pork chops

Salt, pepper

Garlic powder

Onion powder

Bacon

BBQ sauce

Directions
Season each pork chop and wrap with two pieces of bacon.

Bake in a glass dish at 400 degrees for 30 minutes.

Brush with BBQ sauce.

Return to oven for 5 to 7 minutes.

Sweet Potato Bread - Michelle Wiles


SWEET POTATO BREAD

Ingredients

3 MEDIUM SWEET POTATOES (COOKED & MASHED)


1 CUP OIL


2 ½ CUPS SUGAR


4 EGGS  


3 ½ CUPS PLAIN FLOUR


1 TEASPOON SALT


2 TEASPOONS BAKING SODA


1 TEASPOON CINNAMON


1 TEASPOON NUTMEG


1 CUP CHOPPED NUTS


1 TABLESPOON VANILLA


Directions

SIFT TOGETHER THE DRY INGREDIENTS AND SET ASIDE.


BEAT POTATOES, OIL, AND SUGAR UNTIL CREAMY.


ADD 1 EGG AT A TIME, BEATING WELL AFTER EACH ONE.


ADD DRY INGREDIENTS, A SMALL AMOUNT AT A TIME, BEATING WELL AFTER EACH ADDITION.


STIR IN NUTS AND VANILLA.

 

POUR INTO A GREASED LOAF PAN.


BAKE AT 350 DEGREES FOR 40 MINUTES.

Broccoli Cornbread - Michelle Wiles


BROCCOLI CORNBREAD


Ingredients

4 EGGS (BEATEN)


1 CUP SHREDDED CHEESE


8 OUNCES SOUR CREAM


1 ONION (DICED)


1 BOX JIFFY MUFFIN MIX  


1 SMALL BOX FROZEN CHOPPED BROCCOLI


Directions

STEAM BROCCOLI UNTIL TENDER, THEN DRAIN.


MIX ALL INGREDIENTS TOGETHER.


BAKE IN GREASED PAN AT 400 DEGREES FOR 20 TO 25 MINUTES.
