Romans 12:1-2 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual[a] act of worship. 2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. (NIV)
Have you ever felt like responding, “It’s my body. I’ll do with it what I want.” After someone warned you against a tattoo. Or explained why abortion was wrong. Or looked disgustingly at your body piercings. Maybe it was the clothes you wore or the color you chose for your hair. Nevertheless, who were they to pronounce judgment? Other’s opinions may or may not be valid, but God’s is important. Our bodies belong to him. So what’s right or wrong? Actions that control and enslave should be left alone. Love God with your body.
