Philippians 4:19 And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. (NIV)
I often imagine I would be happy if God gave me everything I wanted, but I wouldn’t. Deep down, I know that and God knows that too. Stuff doesn’t bring happiness, and God’s job is not to be Santa Claus. But he has obligated himself to give us everything we need-food, clothes, shelter as well as the strength and abilities, to do whatever he calls us to do. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us because he will supply our every need.
